Growing well
just thought I’d share our latest photos of our Tai Beauty, Rex. You can see how well he’s grown since we had him, which is just short of two years. The photo of him in my hand shows him as we bought him , he was about 6 months old then. The latest photos might not show it very well, but he’s now in excess of 6 ft and is eating well, we hope he will grow to about 9ft, which according to the fact sheets I’ve read says he could do it quite easily, but we will have to wait and see. Hope you like the phots and Rexs’ lovely colourings. Gaz

we use something called Hempcore. It is recommended by the place we got him from up in Bristol, they keep all their reptiles on this stuff. It is relatively easy to keep clean, helps keep the humidity at a reasonable level (though I do not know what it should be at, we keep it extra humid when he’s shedding and he never has any problems now). Even though we bought a great big bag in bulk, we’ve not had any probs (as of yet) with mites or any such stuff. Fingers crossed it stays that way as well. I think there may be a photo of the substrate on one of my pics, will have to have a look to confirm. Hope this helps you in some way, thanks for the reply as well. Gaz |
