I was considering getting one of these gorgeous snakes, but I have a few queries about them before I endeavour to do so...

I am an experienced snake owner, but I dont know if this is a little out of my league.
I’ve had corns in the past and dont want to just jump into the deep end.

Really, my main concern is whether or not they are as aggressive as everyone says?

any advice would be well appreciated.

I really love the texas rat snake, however if my level of experience isnt enough, I’d rather take my time and move to the next suitable level.

Thanks again guys, any suggestions for other possible snakes would be appreciated too.

Texas rats are beginners. Some can be nippy, but snake bits don’t hurt at all.

And they are now Pantherophis, not Elaphae
