I would recommmend getting a bachelors degree in herpetology and then complete a Doctorate in Vet science.

You have to go to vet school, after you obtain a 4 yr degree at a university. That’s it. It would be helpful to take some herpetology classes, as well, but not required. To become a certified reptile vet is a little extra work.

You can go to a collage, get degrees in Animal Welfare & Medical Care.
Then go to a vet school and get your degrees.
And then you need to go into studies of herpetology including Medical Issues.

thats what i got told.
