 Has anyone ever....

....heard of a kangaroo type rat? its a regular pet rat, but with huge back feet! they are the same size as the regualr pet.

its not the type you find when googling "Kangaroo rat"....

I have heard of them as wild rats but not as pets.... I have seen wild kangaroo rats... Its interesting that they now have some that are pets... do you have any pics?

no. i dont have any. i was wondering if there were any. a long time ago, my ex said his were called kangaroo because of the long feet. i got one of the babies he produced (his male). it had longer feet than you see in rats today. maybe just the way they bred them. sorry no pics...

ive sen those wild ones. they are pretty cool. more like a squirrel with long feet, though.... no. these were just the normal pet rats. his male was also a dumbo. maybe that had something to do with it....

hmm I wonder if maybe it coulda been a hybrid... like a kangaroo rat X pet rat.... I dont know if thats even possible but thats the only thing I can think of lol.... gl

i think it was just the way they bred them. because, ive also noticed, since i took up rat keeping again, that the tails are also shorter and the nses a bit longer, more slender. lol almost like they pulled out the nose and it caused the tail to go inward lol......
