My mice gave up on mating!

Okay, so I started breeding mice for pinkies before I got my baby corn snake. (I also planned to supply my friends who also have snakes. When I first started, I set up 2 1.3 colonies, and the males had actively tried to mate the females. Since then I’ve only had one litter, and the males haven’t even tried to mate with the females recently! It’s been 2 months and none of the other females have become pregnant. Is there anything that could be causing this? Is there anything I can do?

Possibly the respiratory infection you have in your colony is causing this problem, even though some of the mice may not be actually showing symptoms. I would suggest feeding out this unproductive stock all together, and getting fresh stock from a different source. Before bringing the new stock in thoroughly sanitize all the mouse equipment to kill any residual bacteria or viruses,
