 What kind or salamander do i want...

Hi, my name is Tyler and i am looking to get my first salamander, i have had a few before but i am talking about the red backs that you find in your backyard... i want something big, something that will fit in a ten gallon for a while but will go bigger...please help me decide what to get...

tiger salamander get 6-9 inches 1 in 10g its whole life get 2 in a 20 or 1 in a 20 more room the better

get a fire salamander they are brillant cheap and the easied salamander to keep in the world!!!

U can get their larval form at most bait shops... they are very popular fish bait and adults are found at most local pet stores . O r u can order them online.


But I to think u should go with a tiger salamander of some kind.

i have a dwarf chinese fire belly newt for about a year now

he’s 3 inches long and im pretty sure thats as big as hes gonna get

they are very intellegent (especially for newts) and will even be able to recognise u and stop to say hello when u walk by

also because of their size u can fit up to 5 in a 10 gallon tank
