I finally took pictures of the newest sally

salamandra salamandra ....bejarae? I’m not sure on subspecies, i’m not good at figuring stuff like that out.
(Link

I’m 99.9% she’s a female because it’s practically flat at the base of her tail, I tried to take a pic of it today but she kept wiggling so I put her back to not stress her.

Anyway, I got her a long time ago and just never got around to taking pictures until today, which is uncharacteristic of me to procrastinate something that involves a camera AND a herp..
Here we go..

size comparison, she’s still little. and yes, i wear too much stuff on my hands.

slimy.

hope you enjoyed :)
No one else on here has ever mentioned having a fire sally so I thought I’d post pics of my adorable girl.

Oh, I just thought I’d add that her name is Vladimir(a).
because I thought she was a male at first, but then the name stuck. Oh well.
:)

depends on the day. usually, she’ll come out whenever i walk in the room and follow me in his tank to where i walk around. i’ll walk to the left side of the room, he’s on the left side of his tank and he goes back and forth with me. every now and then, he gets bursts of energy where he has salamander add though, he’ll start burrowing, half way through go climb something, then get in his water dish and then find something else to go mess with, all in 30 seconds. it’s cute when she does that.
and when i take her out for feeding, she’ll climb on the edge of the dish and look stare at me, then the dish of worms and back again until i give her some. she begs like my very untrained dogs do.
basically, she’s really personable and definitely has the food+care-giver connection down. :)

my C. orientalis is pretty active too though, i would say that out of my 2 amphibians they’re about equal.

thanks!
i was lucky :)
the local pet shop ordered one on a whim, but they’ve had the same 2 tiger sals there forever so i doubt they’ll ever order any more amphibians
which is good in a way, because i don’t have enough money to move out atm and my mom is now completely done after the 3rd animal that creeps her out. lol
