Blood worms are fine for fbn. You can either get frozen ones or live ones-which ever you prefer. Just feed her as much as she will eat and remove the leftover. I have a paddle tail newt that eats crickets and feeder fish.

You may want to feed in a seperate tank so you can monitor your animal’s eating. Don’t use the cubes of freeze dried worms, they pollute the water. Stick with frozen -obviously you have to thaw them- or live blood worms. My newts would only take live worms. I used to feed them black worms. Very rarely I’d give them a wax worm of appropriate size.

Better to use a Kritter Keeper or other small tank, fill it with enough water for your newt to be submerged and feed in there.

Just cut part of a cube or put a small amount of worms in his tank.
I would avoid touching the newt as much as possible..he will probably be stressed in a new environment and not eat.
