 Urgent!need help bad!

okay so me and my best freind were looking for tadpoles and turtles in the duckpond but instead we ended up with a tiny sallamander tadpole but the thing is i have no idea what they eat or how long untill it turns into a sallamander! I already have a salamander but should I put the baby with the fully grown one when it is a sally? or should I give it a different tank?
