 Help please!

1. there is this thing on the newts tail i dont know what it is. its hard to explain it looks like when someone gets a blister and breaks the skin its just a little crater, well there is a little crater in its tail. i have that newt in a seperate tank so none of the other newts can get it if its contagous. i rubbed it to see what it was and the newt started going crazy so it hurts him and it looks like it bleeds a little.

2. do fingers grow back? 1 newt has no fingers on one hand.

Neosporin is all right, but an antiseptic that you get from the vet would be better. Whatever you do, please do not apply anything that has a pain reliever in it. Those medications are toxic to newts and prove to be fatal in almost all applications.

Sounds like you have a nasty case of fungus. I would use coppersafe and myocin in your tank immd. If you do not act quicky, they water will continue to eat at the skin.
