 Question

Appropriately sized worms (california balck worms, wax worms [treat], meal worms, earthworms, and you might be able to feed crix). Feed babies daphnia and as they grow move onto california black worms or even blood worms.

 Question

Water beetles are likely to attack your newts and their larvae.
The adult Newts can be given bloodworms, earthworms, tubifex, crickets, etc... Larvae will need to be started on microworm, freshly hatched brineshrimp and then moved onto daphnia, whiteworm, bloodworm & tubifex as they grow.
