Fire belly newts and african dwarf frogs

can they coexist in a 10 gallon tank? if so, how do i house them in it, if not, what could live with fire bellys?

I wouldn’t think both ADF’s and red belly newts could live together because red belly newts need a lower temperature then ADF’s do, red belly newts need temps of 70F or lower and ADF’s need temps of 76F or higher but not higher than 80F. Also a 10g is to small for a red belly newt because they need alot of swimming room and you will need a land part for them to climb out and dry off. A long 20g or bigger would be better.

Not only the temp. needs but they are from different parts of the world (different microorganisms), fire bellies are toxic, and newts require acidic water while ADF require alkaline.

First off, the firebelly’s toxic secretions would either kill the dwark frogs, or the dwarf frogs would get eaten by the firebellys, they are the perfect size for a snack.
