 NEW HERE HELP PLEASE

Hello I am new here and I am interested in getting some kinda newt or other animal. I have alot of fish and a empty 5gallon aquarium and I thaught I buy something difrent.

Ive seen firebelly salamanders, first I thought they were fully aquatic, nut appently they like half water and half land.

Can some one pleas give me more INfo on these animal, thankyou.

SOme people say a 5 gallon is fine for one newt. For smaller newts a 5 gallon is fine. A 10 gallon is alot better, and you could keep multiple newts. FIre salamanders are terrestrial, requiring a damp habitat. Firebelly newts require half land half water. Or all water with just a floating island or something like that (as long as it’s a land area to on which they can dry off).
