I think i bought a preg female emp

my gf bougght me a male emp like 2 months ago an on march 13th i bought a female emp an she has a huge stomache like she looks like she is bought to explode and shes pretty angry toward me where my male lets me pet him n like to be taken out to explore she ignore the male like runs over him he is kinda scared of her but now hes chillin with her sorta she took over his wood cave tunnle theat he was gonna use to burrow so ya the ? is is she preg ill try n get a pic but only have a cell cam and shes a dummy. how do i put pics in........................................the dummy just chased him out of the wood log ne way ya

A few of the indicators that I have found are: jumpiness, aggressiveness, the armor plating will be seperated on her back, and she’ll be fat. I am fairly new to scorpion breeding, so I dont know all the indicators, but from what you’re saying I would assume she is. Pics will help, though.

You might want to seperate them if she is gravid, or even might be. The female may see him as a threat and kill him, thats what my emperors did, and what Ive heard of a lot. you can put a divider in the tank and they should be fine (I even kept 2 different species in the same tank just with a foam-core divider.)

ya she did look like that for the first 2 days now her plating is normal but no babys and she amde a burrow last night when i was gone and i got some new cave stuff and a water dispenser they dont fight or like even go near each other he avoids her cuz she ignores him n runs over him if hes in the way. but ya shes a not so much now as for the first 2 days

She could just be a feisty one. Just keep a good eye on your male though, she could be harming him even though you dont see it happen. My male and female used to be chums, and once she became gravid, he was never near her, always somewhere else, and it appeared they ignored each other, but she still killed him. Just dont want to see your little guy kick the bucket.

I don’t know if its just me but that pic looks like an asian forest scorpion. Then again thats not the best quality picture. If you looks at the claws they don’t looks very round like that that of an emperor. The claw also doesn’t appear to have a rough and bumpy texture like that of an emperor. Instead it appears smooth and slim like that of the H.Spinifer or H.Longimanus (asian forest scorpion). By the way what color is the stinger I can’t tell from the pic. What do the rest of you guys think?????
