 Emperor not moving or eating

I’ve had him now for over a year now he was already fully grown when I bought him. But the past 2 weeks I have had to physically touch him to move him he just moves from one corner to the next over night that’s it. The humidity and temp are all still good. he also hasn’t eaten as well I’ve checked him for any wounds in case he had fallen but nothing even when picked up he would start walking up my arm normally. I even managed to stroke his tail and he didn’t move his legs aren’t broken either because that was my next thought any help would be greatly appreciated

I would let him be. If you keep disturbing him, you will stress him out way too much. Offer him food and if he doesn’t eat it within 24 hours or so, take it out and try another day.
If you bought him as an adult, it could be that he’s just getting old and may die soon.
Another thought is that he may be going through one last molt.
Just keep the temp and humidity correctly, that’s the best you can do and don’t bother him.

Sorry to hear that :( i have 2 sub adult emperors, im pretty new to this, but if you had him for a year, get a nice bark scorpion or something, think of it as a new start, everyones first scorpion is a emperor i imagen or desert hairy or something, take your experience to the next level dude! aww, sorry about your loss. Yeah, I have some forest scorpions too and they’re awesome. Very impressive looking creatures and so far, they’ve been a very hardy species.

Btw, just freaking had an ant infestation in my scorpion enclosures. Had to take them all out and put them in different containers. Unfortunately, I lost my little red claw, but that’s alright with me. My favorites were the desert hairy and my two forest scorpions. I’m sad about the loss, but he was suffering already. He had mites in between his joints and it wasn’t looking very good.
That taught me an extremely valuable lesson too. I think the mites came from a piece of wood I took from outside of my house. I should have oven baked the wood first (350 degrees F for like 30 I think is good) to kill anything on it.
So yeah, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to oven bake even the substrate from the stores and everything else you’re going to put into the enclosure, just to be sure. It really sucks to see your scorpion suffer from those dang mites.
I think your scorpion may have died from old age though. Don’t let it get you too down though, the world of scorpions is pretty big :D
