Great idea, but we’d have to keep up with it daily.... (ok stupid joke!) So now here’s a stupid question: whats the difference between a Day gecko and the regular kinds? Anyone got a pic you can post so we can see what one looks like - do they have the same type of habitate needs? Can they be kept with other geckos in the same habitates?

Lined Day Gecko (Phelsuma lineta) Origin: The Rainforests of Madagascar Adult Size: 4-5”, although it’s not uncommon to see adults only 3-4” Arboreal: Have adhesive pads on their toes which enable them to climb smooth, vertical surfaces, such as glass Diurnal: Active during the day/Needs UVB lighting for 12-14 hours a day Diet: Omnivorous Deion of Diet: Crickets, overripe fruit, baby food, and juices Cage Size: A 10 Gallon Tank works well for one Temperature: 75°F-85°F during the day with a 90°F-95°F basking spot. The temperature can drop into the low 70’s at night Humidity: 60%-80% Mist at least once every other day. Mist more often in drier climates Handling: Skin is sensitive, so handle with care and only hold babies when you have too Tank Needs: Have a shallow water dish, a rainforest-like enclosure, and hiding spots. Also provide lots of places to climb Here is a Lined Day Gecko that I was going to rescue from the petstore (someone else bought it): LGL |
