Thinking about getting a BTS.
1- I have 3 rats so I was wondering if you HAVE to feed them pinkies. 2- What do you feed them? And what CAN you feed them? 3- Are they friendly? Or are they kinda "look but don’t touch" pets? That’s it so PLEASE answer! Thx.  |

They are omnivorous, so they eat plant and animal, basically. Some people feed canned dog or cat food for the meat portion, you can do chicken/turkey, pork, beef... Mine only like baked chicken breasts on the bone with skin that I bake myself, LOL! Seriously, I’ve tried boneless, tried boiling, pan frying, wok frying... Other than the meats, they need fruits and veggies - these should be the majority of their diet, but mine don’t happen to agree with that. You can also give eggs once in a while. I do scrambled with some eggshell left in for the calcium. Some people do raw but that’s just gross, not to mention sticky! Yes, they are "friendly" and don’t mind being handled. In fact, after you’re done having your rats sit on your shoulder, your BTS can have a turn (: - Yav |
