 Custom enclosure (:

Designed by myself and my carpenter/woodworker/cabinet-maker friend, built by him. It’s made of cherry wood, cherry ply and black walnut ply, and the flooring is ... brain fart! Whatever it is, it’s siliconed where it meets the walls.

The cherry was "stained" with a drano type of product, neutralized with water and vinegar spray, then finished with a few coats of shellac. Biscuit’s and wood glue hold it all together. Industrial wheels. Two handmade screen vents in each enclosure, with a cutout for electrical cords if needed. Hardwired florescent tube (for UVB) fixture and two bulb (heat) fixtures.

Substrate for my two girls is 2-3 inches of play sand, topped with bark, leaf litter and loose moss. I usually like to use live plants in my enclosures, but these guys run under the substrate so a live plant wouldn’t stay planted very long (;

lol yep (: Although they (8 cats) prefer to watch my uro because he moves faster, they all come running when I open the BTS doors!
