PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ HELP!!! (skink eggs) Hey.. I have no clue if skink eggs work the same way, but I breed leopard geckos, and one of my girlies laid two eggs under a rock cave on the dry side of her tank(she has a nestbox, I guess she just didn’t want to use it) anyways back to my point, I didn’t have much time to look for the eggs, I knew she laid them(from the size of her belly) but I didn’t find then for at least 24 hours later. by then the eggs were starting to shrivel and dry up. so I put them in an incubator, I added more water than normal. and out of the 2 eggs, Hatched one extremely healthy baby! so you have a couple choices, you can throw out the eggs leaving no chance for survival at all. Or you can make a homemade incubator(all I use in a small tupperware container half filled with vermiculite and moist to the touch, put in the side of the tank that has a temp of 80-90 degrees) again I have no clue if this would work for skink eggs but it worked for my Leo eggs :).. also make sure the eggs never get turned!.. the embryo inside will definitely die! good luck! :)

most likly the person moved them too much and they wont hatch anyway
also sometimes females will lay infertile eggs(not sure about skinks)
but at our store one of the femal leos laid eggs but she was alone so they couldnt have been fertilized

PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ HELP!!! (skink eggs) some skinks do lay eggs i.e. the five-lined skink. most reptile eggs need the same requirements. i breed bearded dragons, leopard geckos, blue tongues, water dragons and pythons. if the eggs were infertile when they were laid then they will be a yellowish colour. the minimum temperature should be around 80F in the incubator.i use vermiculite which soak to keep humidity and then a layer of moss on top, the moss helps with mould. reptile eggs get larger while developing, you can also check the eggs with a small torch with the room darkened for any chance of seeing any veins, in later stages you can also see movement hope this helps steve
