 NEED HElp to save!!

To make a long story short my step dad just found a 5 lined skink in my dogs water bowl and it was about to drown. when i picked the poor guy up he was barley breathing and gave almost zero resistance. i have him now in a large maybe 30G Tupperware . all i have is some reptile carpet down and a Little hide shelter. i immediately put a heat lamp on him also. what I’m asking is what can i do to help him recover for the day (or how ever long is needed) so i can let him go!! thanks he is now breathing all right but not moving very much. thanks! sorry about spelling I’m in a rush ahah.

These skinks don’t breath very hard. My skinks usually breath every 10 seconds or so.

Hey, I have a 5lined skink as well . . . here’s the info I’ve gathered on how to care for them:
bed a beast or eco earth for a substrate: they like to hide and burrow, so give them a couple of inches of substrate.
Keep humid I spray enclosure once a day, Feed everyother day. Mine is eating dusted crickets no bigger than the space between his eyes . . .
basking light over a rock or a stick, keep the basking site at about 85-90, plenty of hides as well . . . from what I’ve gathered you may use a uvb for them as they are diurnal, but anything over a 5.0 could actually be harmful by giving too much uvb rays . . .
From my observations this is a shy but hardy little skink . . . hope this is helpful to you!
