how much can i expect to pay for a BTS. either in a petstore or over the internet. if over the internet where should i look

In a petstore proly 125$ but besure to do a background check on the store to see the death rate. Some of the petsmart and petcos are either good or bad.
Online you will find babies between 90-125$+shipping and 80% of the time its 100$+shipping which is 50$ but your almost always gaurenteed a good lizard. I dont like buying petstore animals. I had a mountain horn dragon from petsmart died in 2 days :(. Also check the background of the breeder.

It all depends on if you want CB or WC as well as what subspecies. Expect to pay $100+ from a breeder, $75-$125 from an importer (selling WC animals), and $150+ from a petstore. These price ranges are all from my personal experience.

BTS prices range greatly based on species/subspecies. You can pay $100 for a pure Northern BTS or $5000 for a Centralian BTS (if you can find one for sale in the US).

If you buy from a petstore, expect it to be WC. The majority of them sell imported Irian Jayas, Meraukes, or more commonly Indonesians.

If you are interested in purchasing a nice CB BTS, let me know. I know several breeders with GREAT animals and GREAT customer service!

what state do you live in? in indiana it cost roughly from $100-250 from a Reptile show........ from 125-150 at a Petstore..... the only thing i would think is a problem is there size requiring at least a 40 gallon cage..... but i would SOOOOOO go with a 80 gallon not LONG but 48in x 18in....... but that’s just an average..... would really do research on it to tell you the truth.

yeah um theres a great site that im lookingat BTskinks, an they are runnning from neveda. an babies are 125 each an shipping would depend on where you live.. i live in minnesota an it would be 80 for me to ship over night. but for enclosures go to glasscages.com, check out their terrariums not the knock down terrs. but regs. an look at the 50 gal its 48"x18"x13" for only $80... but they have weird shipping so you might wanna check it out. i got mine shipped through my company for free. so i had it shipped to my door. an they have galvenized steal screens that fit it as well that costs about $36

i am in college now in idaho and i live in the dorms where pets aren’t allowed. i am doing all of my research now so that i know what has to be done to take the best care that i can. thanks for your help i will look into all of your suggestions
