OK. so i just got a skink a couple days ago. i have her cage set up nice. its a little small but shes still a juvenile and i have a 40 gallon on the way. any way. shes still stressed from the new environment and isnt seeming to drink much or eat much. i feed her a bit of cat food mixed with romaine lettuce and a small amount of bananas mixed together. i was wondering how long she would be so inactive and if there was any way i could make the time shorter or help her get accclimated. also. i noticed that she didnt have very long nails. it almost looked like they were trimmed. i didnt think any thing of it until i read about the occasional difficulty with shedding of the toes and the damage it can cause. i know that she is getting close to time to shed again so i was wondering if there was any way i could check and see if there was a problem with her toes or anything like that. Im a little leary of putting her in water as she already is stressed and breathing heavily whenever i pu tmy hand in her cage or handle her. thanks for all your helop guys.
