 Hershal’s new setup!

Hey,

Today I got board, so I put new items and rearanged his cage alot!

Pics:


From a top shot of his cage, it makes it look super small, he has PLENTY of space. :)


His care fresh is now in that shoe box hide. Now with it like that, his cage is not dryed out and keeps it in one place. :) Looks more tidy!

Here is what I changed and added:
That big rock( Found it out side, I thought it looked perfect and would make a awsome natural look)
I took out his slate, one hide and other water dish.
I put the water dish, the plastc one in. It’s beside the show box.
I cleaned and washed the reptile carpet. There was alot of poo stains, all gone now! :)
I added a few smooth rocks, the are under the big new "basking" rock. That’s right, that rock, he loves it. Higher off the ground, closer to the warmth, just is in love!

Here is he is, enjoying his new basking spot:

He just got done shedding....

well, i dont really want to go into detail and I really dont want to offend you but the cage is boring. It also doesnt provide much for your skinks to do. dont see him digging or rustling through leaves in there, no multiple hiding spots, no spots with varying humidity. The enclosure looks a bit small for that lizard as well. I think the animal would fare better in something more naturalistic that provides some stimulation of it’s natural behaviors and instincts.

Well, not trying to sound mean or rude, but I don’t care. It’s simple and Hershal has PLENTY of room to run around. He spends most of his time in the shoe box with care fhesh in it. He loves that stuff. I took out that water dish and put a ceramic dfish in their. I added fake colorful plants as well. So just because it looks small and is "boring" to you doen’t mean anything.

Well, got that out of my system. :)
