Emmaluvsmango View Profile	Housing Requirements for new skink Im getting my first reptile at the weekend, ive wanted an occelated skink for a few years and now im finally able to get one. Ive tried to work out the requirements of my new skink but theres a few things which i am not sure about, and i want them to be happy in there home. Im getting a wooden vivarium made hopefully in the next couple of days by a friend who makes them for pet shops, 2ft by 1.5ft and 1ft tall. The strange shape is because its t fit unda the stand i have for my fish tank. I know i need the lighting for the UVB rays through the day, im getting 8.0 is this the right type? does this mean i have to dust with the calcium suppliment less often? Its the heating im a little confused about ive been looking at the ceramic lamps but i have no idea what wattage to get, my guess was around 60 but that could be completely wrong. Is there anything else i need? Everything else i think im pretty much fine on, any help would be appreciated, if ive got something completely wrong id prefere to know now, i can always ask the pet shop owner to hold on to him/her for me for a little bit longer, my main priority is keeping my skink happy and healthy. I will post a pic as soon as i get him/her im going to call it Tamu meaning sweet :)
