It looks fine to me for a young one, and then just upgrade as it starts get full grown if it looks too small. Nothing to worry about in the near future anyway. |

As for size, gallons aren’t really a good measure of how big an enclosure should be for a terrestrial lizard. What you want is floor space, and ideally the enclosure should be at least 1/3 times longer than the lizard’s total length and about half the lizard’s length in width. Of course, this is a minimum and bigger is always better. I had always thought custom-made enclosures were better for large terrestrial lizards but that’s just me. |

^^^Sino: Check out the "terrarium treasures" brand of terrariums, they are a newer brand and are similar in style to the exo terras but with sliding doors and a lot more floor space and overall less cheaply made, they have a nice depth to them and are great for decent sized terrestrial lizards. They are hard to find though. But they are cheap and well made which tends to be an uncommon combination! |
