MY FIRE SKINK WONT EAT !!! 
i just got my skink 5 days ago.. hes very friendly but i cant get him to eat. wont eat fruits or vegetables. wont eat his mealworms and he occasionally stikes at a cricket but usually misses. what should i do !!??

Mine did not eat for 10 days when I first got him....and I hardly ever saw him. I put dusted mealies in a thin plastic feeder dish and the scratching noise they made when moving around drew his attention. I have had him for 14 months he has me trained.....when I see this pose he wants to eat. They are a great skink.
What is your setup for him like?

I put dusted crickets and mealworms ... He won’t even bother with the worms and he attempt the crickets but always misses. I have him in a 55 gallon tank with about 4 inches of bedding. I use jungle mix by villa OT holds alot of moisture. I have a decent size water dish and a bunch of fake plants with two hiding caves for him. I’ll get pictures up soon !!! And i barely see mine if he’s out he goes right back into hiding once he sees me :(
