my hamster bites me when i try to hold her. ive had her almost 2 years now. i used to hold her alot and then she started biting. i wash my hands before and after i hold her so its not smell.

shes a russian dwaf i dont know if there supposed to be nice or mean.

The vast majority of dwarf hamsters are not very friendly, even if you attempt to tame them.

dont rats smell? my aunt has rats and they smell BAD. exept she has a lot of them in a small room.

that would probably be why they smell so bad lol... if you just have two (its best to keep them in pairs) and keep their cages clean (which imo is alot of work... you gotta clean every few days) they dont smell anymore than a hamster would again thats my opinion... gl!

Rats make wonderful pets . They do not smell if they are properly cared for . They are very clean animals . As with any small pet , you should get them young, and hold them regularly so they do not get mean .

I keep a cage of 5 male rats in my sons room, opposite side of room he has 2 hamsters.

Guess which smell more...
