 Easter Rabbit!

I’m thinking about getting a rabbit and I have no clue about them and I’m wondering if they are good pets! I’m researching when I can, but I have know clue on the breeds and how much money to save until Easter! One more thing do they really use the litter box? Thank for all the help if you respond!

 Easter Rabbit!

Yes, rabbits will make use of a litter box if trained to. You should consider adopting a rabbit from a rescue rather than buying a rabbit sold at easter. Goodluck.

 Easter Rabbit!

Also be aware that many rescues and shelters do not do adoptions right around Easter. Make sure that you are prepared to give a new member of your family up to 10 years as a happy, healthy pet and make sure you will have the time and money to care for him/her. Rabbits get expensive. Their food isn’t cheap, they do require medical care just like a cat would, and they need lots of toys, etc.

Shelters don’t adopt out rabbits around Easter because many people want a cute "easter bunny" and end up returning it when it gets bigger or it isn’t Easter time anymore and they realize that rabbits are actually a lot of work.

Don’t aim to get an "Easter Rabbit", aim to get the right pet that will fit your lifestyle. It might be a rabbit, or it might be something else. Just make sure you fully understand what you are getting into so your pet doesn’t end up in an unfair situation.

Good luck!!
