 How old?

ok,i am just wondering how old everyone on here is? its just reading through a lot of the posts on here many seem to be written by school kids, i mean, its like they take offence at the slightest thing, take a lot of comments completely out of context, make arguements where there is no cause for any. i would take a guess at 60-70% of the posters on here being under 16??? when i first came on this site it was full of useful people posting helpful information on different pets, now it seems people post irrelevent posts, just to cause an arguement or bad feeling. and then when someone does post up starting an arguement or going against what they believe they are slated and told ’i knew you would start on me’ etc etc etc. i dont think im going to bother even visiting this site anymore,its like asking pre-schoolers how to care for a pet, some people on here,even when given fantastic advice from seemingly grown up responsible pet owners,simply ignore the advice and go on as they have done before-why bother posting in the first place?

I’m 13. And I don’t care that I’m "only" in 8th grade, because most people understand that I know (mostly) what I’m talking about, and if someone corrects me, I’m not gonna throw a fit.
I say don’t make a big deal about it, because then you may have the whole forum blown up. Just accept the good advice and don’t listen to the bad advice. There are actually very intellectual, engaging and charismatic people on here who hold much knowledge for their age, particularly X_Xbirdie and you should listen to what the young people have to say. Most of us have been involved with animals since we were born, and we know how to take good care of our pets.
Please don’t take this as a threat or a rebellious whatever you want to call it. I’m just saying.

wow futurevet, i didnt know you were that young! i thought you were at least 15, and youve been on here for quite a while.

i myself am 19 and a sophomore in college working towards a bachelors in Bio and then vet school. i’ve been on here for several years and this fighting is nothing new, it was this way back in 2005 when i joined. the biggest trolls are ridden of and most of the others back off when they realize how wrong they are about something.

Well I am 17 and I choose not to comment on a lot of posts because of all the fighting, it’s like high school sometimes. If one person doesn’t like someones comment than everybody jumps on the one person because they don’t agree with that person or have gotten into arguments with them in the past.

Especially when it comes to the bully breeds, like if I said that most of the time they would start the fight over a dog like the golden retriever then everybody would jump all over me.

And I like when people say it is not a personal attack when all they do is target that one person and every post that they write in. This has happened many times to Skullkeeper by numerous people on this site.

well im like 11 so im not the oldest kid on the block. but its just because this is like the only website that are parents will let us on these days. but there still are helpfull kids on here sometimes. lol

I am probably one of the oldest if not the oldest here . I am usually on the Uromastyx and Ball Python forums but they have been slow . I am a 51 year old mother of three and grandmother of 5 . I am a retied nurse due to medical problems .

By the way is anyone else getting pop up adds when the are on repticzone ? seems like I only get them here . Just wondering . I may have a Trojan rerouting me .It only happens when I use the spell check and we all know how much I need the spell check,LOL.

Lol, I’ve never heard of the pop up ads! Weird...

Anyway, I am 17 years old, I work at a vet and volunteer at a rescue/pet store. I have bearded dragons, rats, rabbits, fish, foster kittens, and a dog. I do my best to know what I’m talking about and write so that others can understand, lol.

I’ll be 16 in September. By the way thanks alot for your response to my pregnant GP question. Her bones don’t seem to have seperated yet therefore I think she still has a couple weeks to go. It does appear that she is growing daily. Thanks!

P.S. How old are you if you don’t mind me asking?
