Pros and cons of spiny mice?

will people who own (or are owned by) spiny mice please tell me all the good and bad things about them. My mom may be more likely to let me get a pair if she knows the downsides to too. Any help?

hmm. i love their little prickly backs. they’re hyper, easy enough to tame and cute. you have to watch for obesity though. mine chew through EVERYTHING. they like groups. check out this website-spiny info

if you are going to keep them in the 10, definitely get a topper because they should have a lot of space.

thats part of the reason i want one, i have an empty ten gallon tank and want something to fill it and i really want something that needs one so i can get the cool cage topper.
