 Lots of rat questions

1) Toys: I use freakin’ everything. Card board boxes, paper towels, cat/dog/bird toys. My rats will always choose playing with ME over an object though - most likely because I feed them.
*I got this rubber dog toy - it’s a training toy. You put a treat in side of it and they have to figure out how to get it out. Loves it.
*I’ve also heard of "Pea fishing". Bowl of water - with some peas.

2)Lab blocks are awesome. But ya gotta add some boiled egg, strawberries, blue berries, carrots, potatos, yada yada.

3) Get something yummy (chunk of fruit), open the cage and sit there. Don’t try to grab them, let them come to you. They have to trust you before they can love you. :) It takes time - don’t rush it.

 Lots of rat questions

I stay away from plasticy things, waxy things, toxic things. If it’s safe for a critter or a baby you should be ok. My sister’s rat chewed on a candle once - very sick!

My guys love bells! They like making noise. You know the mouse toys (for cats)? They actually like chewing them up.. It’s very disturbing. But hilarious.
