 More Gerbils (babies)

I adopted these two little girls from my local rescue shelter. Someone had apparently dropped off 11 gerbils, most of which were babies... I’m guessing around 3-4 weeks old. I just couldn’t stand to see them in a shelter when I had an available cage and a loving home that I could give them. Both are doing great and are loving their new spacious home.

This little one is Ziva:

And Echo:

PS What do people recommend feeding them? I am using Neutriphase or something like that. Is there a better band of food that I can use?

a hamster/gerbil pellet food is best
mazuri makes a good brand

it has everything in one pellet so they cant pick and choose what they want(usually the high fat foods)

and then suppliment with some seed mixture

i dont personally like nutriphase

i avoid anything with the preservitive ethoxyquin as it is known to cause cancer

bought the food and am in the process of switching over. The blocks are scattered around the cage so I guess they are eating them :)
