 Adult Boas Need a New Home

I am going to college and unable to care for my Boas. I currently have a Male and Female. The Female is about 8ft and the male about 6ft. They are both great eaters but have a strong feeding response. The female is handable but the male has somewhat of a temper. They are currently housed in 6ft long by 3ft tall enclosures with sliding glass doors. They do not need to go together but at least asking $50 for the male and $80 for the female. The tanks they’re in are available for $30 each. Please, only experienced handlers inquire. I live on the Jersey Shore and will only accept local pick up. You can email me for further information on anything.

I honestly really couldn’t ship them and I really don’t want to ship them and also its getting very cold. Im sorry, local pick up just makes mine and their life easier.

Consider it? well really i dont blaim her, I’m in Juneau Alaska and its heading to be chilly. Of course ive been looking for a Female for this bloke here but id rather not ship her if her life is on the line. And on other hand there are things to prevent that as well. Like over night shipping along with alot of heating pads with Fedex. But again thats just being me.

Yes the 6 foot long tank is $30. It is the tank in the picture.

Yeah I guess I would consider shipping her if she wasn’t over 5 feet and 25 pounds. I don’t know, for me personally, shipping large reptiles seems too complicated for me.

Thank you, I really wish I didn’t have to sell them, they have really grown on me. But I cannot and hopefully after i finish school or get a bigger place, I can give some other animals a good home.

Also, the female has been bred before I got her and the male has also made some incredible offspring , if anyone cares.

That shouldn’t be a problem, i think your only about 2 hours away so half way sounds perfect. If you want you can email me to set up a date. I am in no rush to sell them...the next two weeks seem a little hectic for me but after that, sometime before thanksgiving, I’m pretty much free. But let me know a good time for you. Craigs list has a lot of snakes for sale. On one of the boa forums where someone is looking at a snake, there’s a good list of what to look for when adopting.
