Taking 1 healthy into good home!

Currently have a large aquarium setup with all live plants (Which are non-toxic to snakes) live moss and large water pool that i have had setup for over a month. Maintaining good humidity levels with ease, ambient temps perfect and basking spot on one end of the aquarium, 8"x6" hides on both sides of the aquarium packed with the coco-bricks that expand when wet. This is part of a project to create a self sustaining environment for a snake to live in. If anyone has any type of Ball Python, Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Columbian Boa, or any other type of python or boa that needs the same type of heat and humidity levels as these snakes and either doesnt want it anymore or would like to donate a baby from a recent breeding please contact me. Would love to take any and all snakes regardless of size and current condition but currently i am only looking for 1 small snake (Due to size of the tank i will be keeping it in) that is in good health. Will pay for overnight shipping of the snake, and post photos of the snake in its new home as soon as it arrives. Thanks to all who read, and please try to refrain from replying with too many hate posts. If anyone has questions please feel free to ask, i check forums many times a day and will respond ASAP. Thanks again!

Have you ever kept snakes before? Creating an elaborate setup like that is going to make it a really hard thing to clean out and completely sanitize weekly (which needs to be done as snakes have a LOT of liquid urine and can’t lay around in it all day or they end up with scale rot).

Yes, i have 4 snakes right now actually. 2 BP, 1 Columbian Boa, 1 Green Anaconda. I made the tank originally to put one of my snakes into but decided not to since they are all happy and doing well in their current tanks. And i check tanks several times a day to watch for anything and clean it when needed. I have been using the same substrate in one of my BP tanks for awhile now and whenever the snake does anything it gets really dark, so its fairly easy to tell when the snake has done anything. If there are anymore questions i’ll be here to answer them. Thanks all!

I know coconut husk works and that’s fine for spot cleaning, but with all of that elaborate stuff in there, how do you get it all out every week to sanitize the enclosure and put new bedding in? It would take hours with all that stuff...

All the plants have large leaves on them, so what i do is just put 2-3 drops of cleaner which i got from pet store that sanitizes stuff and kills bacteria, mix that with a half gallon of water and put in a spray bottle. Put a very light spray onto paper towel and just wipe down all the leaves and insides of tank. The cleaner is safe for both the plants and reptiles, even more so when its such a small amount. As for the substrate i just replace it once a month, spot clean when needed by removing a large area around any messes the snake makes and replacing it with fresh substrate. The large water tub is covered in plastic and sealed so the snake cant get inside of it, then once a month i change the cover on the tub. Change the water once a week or when the snake makes any mess in the tub. If you have anymore questions i’ll be here to answer ASAP.

i have found that aspen pellets make an excellent substrate as it absorbs liquid into clumps and makes clean up easier .also has odor control and it isn’t rough on respiratory like cedar and all the stuff that’s a no no .

Mice really aren’t an ideal prey item for adults. You will be feeding multiple every week vs. just one rat. I have 4 right now that are in need of homes, ranging from sub-adult to adult. Working on getting pics as they shed.

Alrighty, just toss me some pics and if you can let me know their feeding schedule so i can keep them on that. I have a friend who actually breeds rats and mice so i am going to buy some pregnant rats from him as well once i get the chance. I’ll keep checking page, should be here all day.
