 Year old red-tail boa

Hello! I have decided to give my pet snake up for adoption. His name is Jake, and he is a Colombian Red-Tail Boa. He is almost a year old, and is about 4 feet long, I think. I go to college and although I’m not supposed to have pets there, I bring him with me. He is starting to get big, and will soon outgrow his tank. I won’t be able to take as best care of him if he is at home and one of my family members takes care of him. So if someone is interested, you can message me.
This is Jake, the picture is old, from when I first got him last march

I made a mistake. I said I was giving Jake up for adoption, but I always thought adopting an animal meant you pay some sort of fee for the animal. This means that I don’t really want to give him away for free. I paid 150 for him, and paid a combined 150 for his tank, heating element, hide, and stick. I am very sorry if this has confused/inconvenienced anyone!

I know that asking 300 for a snake and his tank and equipment seems like a lot, but you don’t need to buy the tank if you don’t want to, it’s not some sort of package deal. He has almost outgrown the tank anyway... I will be happy to get any kind of donation or "adoption fee" for him, just because he has been expensive to raise(the $ spent on rats really adds up!). Once again, sorry for the confusion, I have never done this kind of thing before...

thats not really an adoption if your trying to get out of him what you put in honestly i understand the buying the tank but the snake is priceless id buy the tank and pay the shipping on it but thats the best i could do seeing as how you want 300 for all but you have to think the shipping is gona be close to another $100 with tank and snake so anyone that wants the snake is gona be paying anywhere from 400-450$ for it in the end just something to think abought if you really are trying to get it a new home beautiful snake by the way

Yes Ive noticed a lot of people "selling" things in this forum section where they are suppose to be adopted which usually means a small fee not a retail value. If you want what you got in on the snake then go to kingsnake.com or reptileauctions.com and sale him there. I can understand you getting confused with how animal adoption places charge a fee. However that fee usually covers the spaying and neutering fee to keep animals and dogs from reproducing. After all that is the goal of shelters. To stop the over population of animals so that they wont be abandoned.
