For the last couple of days my Cobalt blue has decided to come out of her hole and grace me with her presence. I got a few nice pictures, so I thought I’d share. :)

F@#&ing beautiful... Sorry I couldn’t help it. I’m new to THIS forum but have been an avid T keeper for years. My name is Jessica and I think the cobalt blue is in my top five. Really great pix

Thanks! They were a favorite of mine as well, so I just had to get one. :)

Here’s another picture. I figured out why she’s coming out of her hole now; her house collapsed, the poor thing. I need to get some fresh dirt and get her set up again. Because she doesn’t seem too happy...

Oh, heck no! I’d lose a finger! This is usually about how happy she is to see me; I got her some fresh dirt and this is her before and after:

I had a terrible time getting her into a jar to get her out of her tank...

Here she is peeved with me and sulking in her water dish.

Well, thank you! :)

Awesome! You have good taste in tarantulas. :P I had an Antilles pinktoe and they are beautiful. The poor guy molted into a male, though, so I only had him for about a year and a half.

I love pinktoes. They are a great tarantula if you want to hold it. Every pinktoe I ever had was docile as ever. Not to jack the thread but funny story... I had to sell all my spiders about two years ago because I thought I was gonna leave the country and sold a bunch to a guy in cali that I stayed in touch with. Well I never left and he needed to down size his collection so he sent me a bunch of his. He ended up still having my pinktoe and now I have her back after two years. And she is by far my best one. So nice and docile. But it does seem the aggressive beasts have the best colors.

Wow, that’s really cool! I’ll bet you were happy to get her back. I had to send all of my guys to live with my dad because we’re probably going to be leaving the country. It’s sad because I’ve had my first tarantula for almost 11 years now, and I’m nervous about not being able to take care of her.

I don’t know, now that I think about it lots of the flashier colored ones are aggressive. My Mexican Redknee has lovely colors coming in, though, and I was really very taken with my Antilles pinktoe’s shiny blue phase. I’ll have to get another Antilles some day.
