 What you breeding?

I seem to have loads of breeding programmes on at mo so I thought I’d list them and ask if anyone else is breeding and what species?

P. regalis - 2 sacs, hoping to pull Saturday
P. cambridgei - successfully 170 slings
P. irminia - successfully 70 slings as 2nd sac plus 2 males out with breeders
P. striata - I have fresh male and female
P. pederseni - male has been eaten but female fresh and I have another fresh male
P. ornata - male with breeder
P. rufilata - can’t see male but female has finally adopted the cork tube
P. miranda - male and female to go together soon
T. blondi - male with 2nd breeder
G. rosea RCF - male with lots of female
GBB - webbed herself in after eating 2 males but tonight she came out for a wander
H. villosella - male going out on Tuesday
P. murinus RCF - 2 males, 2 females going together soon
C. shioedetei - male and female going together soon plus additional female for 2nd attempt
A. versicolor small form male out at breeders, large form male on its way
A. diversipes (fasciata) 2nd male with female and looking good after 5 days together

I think I have more but I need to check my records

Wow, thats a great breeding list Pox! I’m not breeding just yet but I’m hoping soon to be breeding G.Rosea(Maybe), C.Fasciatum, P.Cambridgei, and either P.Pederseni or P.Regalis, and POSSIBLY L.Parahybana, but the possible amount of slings makes me question that one.

Thanks, and I know what you mean about L. parahybana, that’s another one that I’m doing a 3 way split on LOL

I’m in the UK so it may be different for US but C. fasciata (which was reclassified as Davus fasciatum) are most likely to be C. pentalore (Guatemala) due to the strict exporting laws of Costa Rica. I believe there’s some studing going on about these.

Lol even with a 3 way spilt thats a ton of slings! Plus that would be a TON of packing in straws and everything. But I did decide about the pokies and bought a 6inch female P.Pederseni from Ken of kenthebugguy. com.

I thought C.Pentalore had slightly "spiked" looking hairs on the back legs? Mine looks smooth and flat. Either way she is a beautiful tarantula!

Impressive list! I’d love to take a few P. irminia and A. versicolor slings off your hands once they hatch...

Schnautzr, can’t really help you. Those are generally the spiders that I lay glue traps down for...
