 My swift is sheding
are emerald swifts suppose to shed? We are new owners and all though we researched the swift befor buying it I never read anything about it sheding. He also seems to be burrowing in the sutrait more often than he did when we first got him. Now we hardly ever see him. Any advice would be appreciated.

All reptiles shed at some point. Without shedding they would never be able to grow

Yes swifts do shed...Your lizard is probable borrowing for mosture. I suggest that you mist your swift often, It helps the sheding.
