u no it doesn’t express my feelings as much, but whatever!!! are we really about to loose 1/3 of the worlds frog species in the next few yrs?? ive heard it from jeff corwin and read it twice on the internet thad be gay!!! i mean, i knew habitat loss and this stupid fungus were wiping amphibians out, but i didnt know it was so fast!! (not that it matters how fast it is, we should still respond either way) these creatures are at our mercy, we must help, (its our fault anyway) even people out their who dont care should at least consider that if they go, it’ll effect us too!!!!! |

It does seem that people notice that frogs are not around like they use to be. She wrote: I grew up in the country where animals etc are a normal part of life. It was pleasant to sit on the porch at night and listen to the bullfrogs croaking, katydids singing, and crickets chirping. I also remember the whipoorwills, but, you know, I haven’t heard one of those in years! Plus, I love animals and am fascinated by and interested in them in general. You can use my first name in the Oscar article but please do not use my full name. This is the last time I saw a bullfrog. About six years ago, a light always burned in the basement and that light would draw the bugs to the window panes and the bugs would draw those small green tree frogs (rain frogs). Now, those little frogs are neat! Anyway one night I went out on the patio between dusk and dark. I looked around and saw this dark blob on the window sill and thought that looks like a cow pile. Then with a light I discovered it was a bull frog and he must have been six to eight inches across - he was huge. He had come to eat little green tree frogs and bugs. He had come up a steep, wooded, leaf covered hill from a small minnow pond. When I tried to catch him for a closer look, he disappeared back down that same hill. |
