Help my 8 year old son care for his TADS!!

Okay, my son visited a farm in Oklahoma and found some eggs. He put them in a bottle and was ready to take them home. I agreed thinking they were already dead. Well, I now have about 100 very tiny tiny tadpoles swimming in what once was my fish tank. I do not know if I should feed them, (they are sucking on the sides and the rocks) Or what else I can do to insure their safety. My son would be crushed if too many perished. Is it okay to keep the pump and filter on? Also my son has a toad he caught in august and is caring for it. we feed him crickets is that enough or do they need vegetation too? Please help my reptile lover take care of his beloved pets.

you can feed the tadpoles fish flakes, algae pellets, tadpole bites, etc. The filter should be fine.
There are always going to be a lot of deaths, that’s why so many eggs are laid in the first place, but as long as the water is kept clean and they are getting fed, you should have a good amount of survivors for your son to take care of.

As for the toad, you should try to identify it by visiting the frog or toad forums on this site, they’ll help you make sure you have the right setup for the toad. But generally crickets are a good staple food, try to get a good vitamin powder supplement also to dust on them a few times a week for added nutrition. Also you could mix it up with earthworms and the occasional fish if you want. No vegetation, they only eat what moves.
Good luck with everything
