Thats not a Tadpole. Its a Salamander Hatchling which are alot harder to raise. I would feed it live microworms or get some live daphia, but if you can’t get them i would release... there a hassle, when you arn’t familiar with the Sallies. But if you want to raise them, then i would buy some microworms or daphina that a live and feed that to them until they are big enough to eat Brine Shrimp. Then go to chopped inhalf earth worms or if there to big find some smaller worms in the yard =]

It can’t be salamader hatchling because the eggs were in a clear gel and the embryo was black instead of white.

It is a Salamander because, Yes frogs and Salamanders Have the Clear Gel Outside, but the eggs for frogs are like little black balls. Salamander larva are black and are longish with little greenish capsules around them. If you look at the pic, you can see the small gills it has, which salamander Tadpoles have in-order to Breath under water. Frogs are like balls with tails, but the sally tadpoles have small legs and gills, and they are sometimes called water dogs for short.

Its a salamander waterdog (larvy)

Notice the external gills... that is something tadpoles do not have

I would believe so. Newts and Salamanders are about the same except Newts can swim and breath underwater and Salamanders Cant.

That is not true kyoss.

The mole salamander family cannot breath underwater.
The lungless salamanders can for a while.
and many salamanders keep their gills and live in the water as mudpuppies some call them, aquatic salamanders
they have gills and lungs(this happens mostly with the mole salamander family)

Well the majority or Salamanders can’t breathe underwater and that’s what I’m talking about. Alot of them are poor swimmers like the Marble Salamander for Instance. But i really only depends on what kind of Sally it is, like the common ones like the central, Spotted, and Marble can’t.

What do you mean

when they furtilize their eggs they do it under water.

Mine swim all the time (tigers, marbles and spotteds)

I understand the point your trying to make but I dont think its correct.
