 Water Condition

Ok- so Ive got a precious bullfrog tadpole in a 10 gal aquarium with the natural pond water from which he came. (bottom dirt/crap, plants & plant matter, & some glob algae I found.) Everybody else’s tadpoles look like they’re in nice clear water... I know that they’re not supposed to have chlorinated water, but should i change the water regularly? Would it "shock" the tadpole like fish do when they experience a temperature/water condition change? ALSO- does the water need to be constantly filtered or what? He’s happy right now, down in the mud.... I’ve just had terrible luck with fish, so i’m paranoid. Sorry for the rediculously long message....

I would dump the water, dirt and all that. Now i how they get the clear and clean water is by declorinating it, you can do this by going to walmart and buying start-right from the fish section. No the water don’t have to be filtered but you can just make sure the tad cant be sucked up in it.. also you can just change half the water every week or so(Depending on how fast the water gets dirty). Now i would use pebbles you can buy from walmart for like 4 dollars and there in a bag.. just buy any color you want. For food i would feed him algae disks from the fish section of walmart. Anything i didnt cover or need more help... just let me know.
