 He died...

I guess I really have bad luck with frogs. I can’t ever seem to keep them alive. I had one of my 57 die today. I had 26 tadpoles, 31 froglets and one of the froglets died just a few minutes ago. He was the biggest one who’s tail was 1/2 gone already. I guess the water was too full, I moved him to a rock in the container and he moved back into the water and drowned now. He was drowning a few hours ago but still breathing so that is why I put him on the rock in the shade but still in the container outside and he went back in the water all within a 1/2 hour and I found him floating and dead just about 1/2 hour ago. I am sad, I have the worst luck with frogs. I can do tadpoles but once they become frogs they always die in my care. I just don’t get it. I love frogs but I can’t own them. My whole thing is that I was going to put them outside once all 4 legs came out and I have 7 still out there but I drained more water out so they can not drownd in it. I hope no others die. Wish me luck with the rest. I am starting to think frogs hate me. I guess I should explain that I had 2 tree frogs also that died in my care a long time ago. The first one I had outside in the grass with me and he ate a ant and he died and then my mom told he she sprayed for ants I wish she would have said that before I had him in the grass and the 2nd one I got for my daughter and he was doing great until I went to the store to get more crickets and I had very little water in his dish and he was bloated and dead by the time we got back which was about 20 minutes later. I guess I have bad luck with them. Well the other 7 are outside now in the shade by my pond in a small tupperware dish so when they start to jump they can get out and live a happy life.

I’m sorry for that :(
With that many tadpoles/froglets there will always be losses, it’s too bad it happened when he was so close to being a frog. We’ve all had mishaps like that though, like with clawed frogs, I got a few tadpoles once to try growing them, but they all died too, one of them was sooo close to losing the tail completely when he died. I guess it’s really just luck of the draw. Don’t worry though, I’m sure tons of the other ones will make it through to be released.
Good luck with all the rest.

Im sorry about the frogs. I see frogs in the pond all the time but they always get freed after a while.
