 How do you keep em from dieing?

before i moved to Houston (BC) when i was 8 maybe me and my dad and little sister went to onion lake to find A LOT of tadpoles almost covering the river leading to the lake. we brought 10 to 15 back home and put em in a plastic (big) container that had water at least 4 to 5 inches or more. and we fed it fish food every day but they only lived for 4-or 5 days! how do you keep tadpoles alive at least until there frogs?:)

ok first they probably died cause you used chlorine water
2. they need to eat.

put in little pinches of boild letus ive had my 3 for 2 monthes untill my BIG tad pole 8 my little tad pole

I think the reason why your’s died is one of two reasons
1. You may have used water with chlorine in it
2. If yall got them from a river like you said then you have to have their water circulating.

distilled water is a must and..well, tadpoles adore algae =p thats what i use
