 Need some help! Thanks!
my little boy (he’s 9) thought it would be cool if we could raise tadpoles. So i found some in a backyard pond. We researched, feed them, change the water when needed. They have sun light during the day. Temp isn’t to cold nor to hot. We have about 15 of them. we’ve had them for 3 months now. The tad’s in the pond have changed and grown to frogs already. they are the cutest lil frogs! and Alas ours still have not changed...... As i’m sure you can tell by now I have a very curious child. He really wants to know what kind of frogs they will be and when..... 2 or 3 of them have little tiny legs but nothing more for 2 weeks now. here is a picture of what they look like..... if any one has any advise I would greatly appreciate it. personally i think they are happy as tadpoles and don’t want to change!! lol! thanks in advance for the help!!!

those are toad tadpoles(i think) and they look like one of the bufo species,it’s probably american toads you’re going to have

How long does it usually take for them to change? Any help is welcome! My son is in love with them. He watches them daily as does my cat! lol. We are looking forward to watching the little guys grow & change.

i’ve found toads take just a bit longer than frogs but when they start to finally grow limbs it speed up. i’d say a little over a month maby?

american toad...yupers, they are sooo tiny once they go from tadpole to froglet...soo cute

they look like they belong to the bufo species, baby american toads are really cool to, so good luck!
