 Tree Froglets!!!! ^_^
Yesterday i found out what my tadpoles were.. Tree frogs.. when i went to check on them they had sprouted arms(overnight) and their tails had begun to get absorbed into their bodies.. Some have turned green and others are grey.. and very cute.. i’ll post pictures later. They don’t seem to be interested in food right now though and i cant get any pinheads or fruitflies from the pet store nearby because, apparantly, the heat is killing the little guys( the bugs) and the store isnt ordering them.. what else can i feed them?

well for now they won’t eat because they’re living off of their tails. Once they’re done with that, you’ll need some live food. If you can get baby guppies you could try feeding those in a shallow water dish for now, at least until you can get the insects...you can also see if your petstore has live bloodworms. Besides that I don’t know of anything else small enough for little guys like that, the food has to be about the length between the frogs eyes or smaller.

Try cutting up earthworms into pieces small enough for them to eat but large enough so they can see them moving. You can get panfish and trout bait from the store(they are just earthworms like in your garden but i don’t know if you use fertilizer or weed killer in your garden. If you don’t they should be safe) or buy night crawlers from a bait shop, but make sure you wash the dirt off to avoid an intestinal impaction. Mak sure the worms are small enough to avoid choking.
