 Bullfrog Tadpole

Hello, I just acquired a large bullfrog tadpole. Overall length is 5", head/body 1" with fully developed rear legs. What type of enclosure is appropriate (size temp depth land/water area, etc?) What should I feed it? About how long will it take to fully morph?

Many Thanks.

a ten gallon tank will be fine for now, with some type of land for it to come out on when it gets the front lets. You could use large river rocks or something like that for now to slope up out of the water on one side. They’ll eat algae wafers, fish flacks, boiled lettuce...etc. If it has full back legs, it’ll probably only be a couple weeks at the most before the front legs come in, and then about a week or two before the tail’s gone. At that point (while it’s losing the tail) it won’t eat. And then after you can change the setup to half/half land/water setup, or all land with a large water bowl. And when the tail’s gone it’ll eat live crickets (small), earthworms, guppies, minnows, etc.
