Leave them at school all weekend? 
I just bought 6 bullfrog tadpoles online for my students to observe. Can I leave them in school all weekend if I leave extra food on Friday? I took them home this weekend, but I’d rather not have to do this every weekend. I don’t want them to starve over the weekend if I leave them at school. Thanks.

Tadpoles honestly are quite hardy. As long as they arent in direct sunlight or anything like that then they should be 100%fine with this.

Thanks, Leah. How much extra food would you recommend that I leave for them over the weekend? Right now I am giving them one pinch per day of the tadpole food, as directed on the box. The box says I should clean up uneaten food after 15 minutes but that’s really hard to do since it settles like sand on the bottom of the tank, so I’ve just been leaving it. One pinch for 6 tadpoles doesn’t seem like very much food.

Well the tanks that i keep my tads in dont have substrate at the bottom. I think its easier to jsut have a shallow water tank with a few hides and nothing on the bottom.
But anyways, i use algea disks. I normaly put in 2 for 4 tads and when i go away for a week end ill put in 3 or 4.
3 pinches should be fine for a week end.
like i said, they are very hardy and will make it.
