Aspen??? So I’ve been wondering if Aspen bedding would be good for my Columbian... He’s got cypress right now, and I’m really starting to not like it, they’re huge rough pieces and a lot of times he’ll swallow the stringy pieces. I don’t know, I’d like to switch to Aspen but wondered if it would be okay for them.

Aspen???
the thing is that cypress holds much more humidity than aspen.non-contaminated dirt is fine because it also holds it.so yes, its fine but you will need to work a lot more to keep the humidity proper.

Aspen??? i think mulch is probobly best but i have my red in a tank in my bedroom and dont want the smell of damp mulch in my room so i have gone for artificial grass and use a moss box, basicaly a large plastic box upside down with a hole in it and a cat litter tray the right size underneath full of damp moss, he seems happy enough
