 Tegus hide Alot!

Do your guys arg tegus stay in their burrows or hide alot? Mine hid most of the day every day and only came out for a few hours each day to bask and eat. He was an awsome animal ,but I never saw much of him which sucked. I do not have him anymore...Sadly he escaped from his outdoor cage a few months ago and never found him. I am now getting another lizard to go in his old cage. I fixed it so dont worry. I am probally going to get a rhinocerous iguana but still want another tegu. How often are your tegus out?hours? Maybe mine was just an odd ball or something. Maybe he had narcolepsy! Thanks,

I dunno. I guess everyone knows fence lizards are better.

Typically tegus stay in their burrows for half of the day or so. It can sometimes be more, it depends on the animal. I have found that if kept very warm and well fed they spend more time out of their burrows. I have a pair that is out most of the day.

you know-

I wouldnt advise sending people to " the tegu" any more, all the lies and BS will come out eventually.
I知 not gonna use any names, but i知 not gonna back someones website who admitted to producing no eggs and then "magically" has hatchling tegus only a couple weeks later, kinda suspicious? think I知 full of it? why do you think I知 banned : )
